Terms and Conditions
All cakes require a non refundable 50% deposit at the time of booking with the balance being due upon collection or delivery. You are welcome to pay instalments towards the cost of your cake at any time before the due date of the balance. In the event of non-payment of the balance, I reserve the right to consider the order cancelled and the deposit forfeited. Deposits are non-refundable. When ordering, I will pencil in your order date whilst we negotiate terms/ideas etc. (no other orders will be taken for that date, however prospective customers will be queued). This date will be ‘yours’ for 5 working days, unless another time frame is agreed (at my own discretion). If I do not receive confirmation within those 5 days, I will assume you have decided to take your order elsewhere.
Once the design/cost has been agreed, a 50% non-refundable deposit is payable. Again, this deposit is required within 5 working days (unless agreed otherwise, at my discretion). If no deposit is received in this time frame, I will open up the slot for other customers.
Once the design has been agreed, changes may be made up until 10 days prior to collection/delivery but an extra charge may be incurred.
Please make any allergies/food sensitivities known at time of booking as certain alternatives can incur a higher charge. I will take all necessary steps to prevent allergy triggers, however please be aware that I am a home-run business and my cakes are created in a kitchen where nuts are present. If you have any significant issues with any other allergies, please discuss this with me at time of booking.
Wedding Cakes
Ideally wedding cake orders need to be placed at least three months before the wedding day. This gives fruit cakes plenty of time to mature if necessary and allows me to source colours, ribbons and accessories, and prepare bespoke decorations for your cake.
I will always endeavour to accommodate late bookings but this is of course subject to my availability and your individual requirements.

Cancellations
Celebration cake orders which are cancelled at short notice (within two weeks before the due date) will be charged for in full. Please note that the 50% deposit is non refundable.
For wedding cake orders which are cancelled the 50% deposit is non refundable. If you cancel your order within one month of the due date then you will be charged in full.
Equipment Hire
Hired equipment can be supplied for a hire charge per day and a refundable deposit. Hired equipment must be returned by the date agreed (unless alternative arrangements have been made) or extra charges may be levied to cover further hire costs. Any costs to repair/replace damage to hired equipment will result in your deposit being forfeited.
Satisfaction
If for any reason you are unsatisfied please return the products for inspection within 24 hours. I cannot resolve a complaint if the products have been eaten, as this would indicate that you and your guests were satisfied. Please be aware that if you are unhappy with your order and wish to be refunded, I require at least 50% of your order to be returned. Refunds are given at my discretion. Deposits are non-refundable (at my discretion).
Please remember that I cannot be held responsible for damage to an order after collection.
Delivery/Collection/Storage
All orders are to be collected by the customer, unless other wise agreed (at my discretion). If delivery is agreed upon, there is a charge based on the distance travelled and time taken. This will be agreed upon at the time the deposit is taken.
Wedding cakes will always be delivered to the venue, the delivery fee will be discussed and agreed upon at your consultation.
Cakes of this nature are as robust as I can make them, however they will NOT stand any violent jolting, bumping or sliding. I will ask you to check your cake on collection to make sure the cake is in perfect condition and will provide storage instructions at that time.
Any further transportation by you should then be on a flat, level surface; a footwell or boot of a car is ideal. I will provide a box.
Ask for advice when taking delivery if you are unsure, and I always recommend bringing somebody with you if possible.
I cannot be held responsible for any damage incurred due to poor onward transportation.
The cake, if covered in fondant MUST NOT be stored in the fridge. Fondant will sweat and colours will run if refrigerated.

For orders under £150 in value:
Should your date change more than 28 days before the agreed date of collection, the booking MAY be transferred with no extra charge if the new date is available. However, this is at my discretion and all decisions are final. Please remember and appreciate that I am extremely busy and will not guarantee that a new date may be available. I book up around 6 weeks in advance, and even quicker throughout wedding season (May-September).
If you wish to cancel the order, written cancellation is required and the deposit is non-refundable. If cancelling the order less than 5 working days before your collection date, the full cost will become due.
For orders over £150 in value:
Should your date change more than three months before the agreed date of collection, the booking MAY be transferred with no extra charge if the new date is available. However, this is at my discretion and all decisions are final. Please remember and appreciate that I am extremely busy and will not guarantee that a new date may be available. I book up around 6 weeks in advance, and even quicker throughout wedding season (May-September).

FOOD ALLERGY DISCLAIMER: Jeni's Cupcakes is Not an allergy-free kitchen.We cannot guarantee that our products are free from any ingredients that may contain food allergies, but all efforts are made to minimise this risk. The following ingredients are used in our kitchen;

We recognize the seriousness of food allergies and we recommend that you contact us before you place a order to inform us off any food allergies that you may have.
STORAGE: All cakes/cupcakes should be stored at room temperature, out of direct sunlight on a flat surface and nothing placed on top of product. No preservatives or additives are used in Jeni's Cupcakes products therefore they should be treated as fresh food and should be consumed within 72 hours of the date/collection date.
